The challenge
A premium short-term rental operator in Upstate New York needed a property marketplace that matched the calibre of the estates it listed — rich imagery, comparison flows, availability calendars, and a booking funnel that connected directly to their property-management system. Off-the-shelf real-estate themes either couldn't show nightly pricing or required manual entry for every property on every date.
The approach
WordPress with the RealHomes Ultra theme as the real-estate substrate — heavily customised, not a template install. The theme provides the property post type, search filters, and listing layouts; everything behind that is bespoke. The decisive piece was our own Hostaway Price Sync plugin: a purpose-built integration that reads live pricing and availability from the Hostaway property-management API and writes it back onto each property post. LiteSpeed fronts WordPress for cache acceleration, and the owner's team manages content directly through the WP admin.
