Sheldon AI

Sheldon AI represents a fundamental rethinking of how humans interact with artificial intelligence. Instead of the traditional linear chat interface, Sheldon presents an infinite spatial canvas where conversations flow organically like a mindmap. Multiple AI models—Claude, GPT-4, Gemini, and Llama—are accessible through one seamless interface.

The Challenge

Chat interfaces have dominated AI interaction since the beginning, but they impose artificial constraints. Conversations are linear. Context is buried in scroll history. Multiple threads of inquiry can’t exist simultaneously. We asked: what if AI interaction felt more like thought itself—spatial, branching, interconnected?

Sheldon AI spatial canvas interface with branching multi-model conversations

The Approach

We built a canvas-based interface where ideas exist as nodes in space. Branch a conversation in any direction. Zoom out to see the big picture. Zoom in to focus on details. Natural animations make the experience feel fluid and intuitive rather than mechanical.

The technical implementation required solving complex challenges around state management, real-time rendering, and multi-model API orchestration. The result is an interface that feels simple despite its underlying complexity.

Key Features

  • Spatial conversation canvas with infinite pan and zoom
  • Mind mapping capabilities for organizing complex inquiries
  • Support for multiple AI models through a unified interface
  • Natural animations that respond to user interaction
  • Export and share capabilities for collaborative work

Results

Sheldon AI demonstrates that AI interfaces can be radically different—and radically better—than the chat paradigm we’ve accepted as default. The spatial approach particularly shines for research tasks, brainstorming sessions, and any inquiry that benefits from seeing connections between ideas.
