MoonFactory Analytics

Cookieless WordPress analytics. Now part of MoonFactory Connector.

Features

  • Umami tracking script injection (privacy-first, no cookies)
  • Option to exclude logged-in administrators from tracking
  • Remote configuration via REST API
  • Health check endpoint for portal monitoring

MoonFactory Analytics was the first plugin we shipped to client sites. It injected a Umami tracking script, exposed a small REST surface, and reported its own health. It did one thing and it did it well.

We replaced it with MoonFactory Connector — which does everything Analytics did, plus it handles health checks across the entire WordPress install and ships heartbeats to the portal for real-time monitoring. One plugin instead of two-to-three.

If you’re still running Analytics

You don’t need to do anything — the portal upgrades managed sites to Connector automatically during the next maintenance window. Connector reads the same option keys, so your Umami website ID and tracking settings migrate without intervention.

Why document it at all

Legacy plugins stay on this page for two reasons:

  1. Operational transparency. If you’re reading our audit trail six months from now, a plugin slug that doesn’t appear anywhere is a mystery. We want the story to be readable.
  2. Version pinning evidence. If a client site ever pins moonfactory-analytics by accident (e.g., a composer lock that predates the Connector rollout), we want the page it points to to exist and explain the upgrade path.

No download link is published for this plugin — it was never meant for manual distribution. MoonFactory-managed sites got it from the portal, and MoonFactory-managed sites are how it leaves.
