Your marketing kit

The marketing kit is your shared toolbox for promoting MoonFactory. It lives at Marketing kit in your affiliate menu (or go straight to /affiliate/marketing-kit).

This guide covers what's in the kit, how to use it, and how to submit your own creations for approval.

What's in your kit

When you open the marketing kit, you'll see a grid of assets you can pick up and use right away. Each asset is tagged with its type so you can filter the grid down to what you need.

The asset types are:

  • Logo — the MoonFactory logo in formats you can drop into a post, slide, or thumbnail.
  • Banner — promotional images sized for blog sidebars, footers, and similar placements.
  • Email template — ready-to-paste copy for newsletters and announcement emails.
  • Social copy — short-form text you can post on social channels (Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram captions, etc.).
  • Sell sheet — a one-pager you can share when someone asks "what is MoonFactory exactly?"
  • Video — short video clips for embeds, social posts, and stories.
  • Other — anything that doesn't fit the categories above.

Use the Type dropdown above the grid to filter. Pick All types to see everything.

Each card on the grid shows:

  • The asset's name.
  • Its type and file size.
  • An "Official" badge for assets MoonFactory created, or a "Your variant" badge for your own approved submissions.
  • A download button (for official assets).

If a card has a green check that says "FTC disclosure included", it means the asset is one of our text templates — and the FTC disclosure paragraph is woven in automatically when you download. (Required if you're a US affiliate. Strongly recommended everywhere else.)

Downloading assets

Click the Download button on any official asset card. Your browser will save the file in whatever format we ship that asset in — typically:

  • Logos as image files (PNG, SVG, or both).
  • Banners as image files (PNG or JPG).
  • Email templates and social copy as text files. These come with two things filled in for you:
    • Your tracking link is substituted in everywhere the template says {tracking_link}.
    • Your name is substituted in everywhere it says {affiliate_name}.
    • The FTC disclosure paragraph is appended to the bottom.
  • Sell sheets as PDFs.
  • Videos as MP4 or similar.

The substitution happens at the moment you download — you don't have to find-and-replace anything yourself. The link in the file you receive already points to your unique tracking URL.

If you download the same template again later, you'll get a fresh copy with the same substitutions. So if MoonFactory updates the template wording, your next download picks up the update automatically.

Brand guidelines

A few quick rules for using MoonFactory's brand correctly:

  • Don't redraw the logo. Use the file we provide. If you need a size or format we haven't shipped, ask — see "Need help?" at the bottom.
  • Keep clear space around the logo. A margin roughly equal to the height of the "M" looks right.
  • Don't recolor the logo. Stick with the colors in the file we ship.
  • Don't combine the MoonFactory logo with your own logo as if it's a partnership. You're an affiliate, not a co-brand.
  • Don't put MoonFactory wording in quotes attributed to MoonFactory unless we've actually said it.
  • Don't claim to be MoonFactory, or to speak on MoonFactory's behalf. You can absolutely say you're an affiliate. You can recommend us, share why you like us, and tell people what your experience has been. You can't represent yourself as a MoonFactory employee or partner.

If you're unsure whether a particular use is okay, ask before you publish.

Submitting your own variants

You can submit your own marketing materials for review and, if approved, they'll show up in your kit as Your variant alongside the official assets.

This is useful when you've made something well-tuned to your audience — your own banner with copy your readers respond to, a social post you've workshopped, an email blurb in your own voice.

How to submit

Scroll down inside the marketing kit page to the Submit your own variant section. Fill in:

  • Name — what to call this variant (up to 255 characters).
  • Asset type — which of the categories above it fits into.
  • Description — optional, but useful for the reviewer to understand what the variant is for.
  • Based on — optional. If your variant is a riff on one of our official assets, pick that asset from the dropdown so the reviewer can see what you started from.
  • File — the file itself. Up to 25 MB.

Click Submit. We rate-limit submissions to 5 per hour per affiliate so we can keep the review queue manageable — that's plenty of headroom for any normal use, and the limit only kicks in if you're rapid-firing uploads.

What happens next

Your submission lands in the Your submissions list on the same page, marked Pending. From there:

  1. A MoonFactory team member reviews it.
  2. They either approve it, request changes, or reject it.
  3. If they leave review notes, you'll see them on the same row in the submissions list.
  4. The status badge changes to Approved, Rejected, or stays Pending.

Once approved, your variant joins the asset grid above as Your variant and is treated like any other asset in your kit. Approved variants don't have a separate download button on the grid — you already have your original file. The "approved" listing is there for visibility and traceability.

Using your assets effectively

A few tips that tend to make assets work harder:

  • Place banners where they make sense in context, not as background decoration. Inside a relevant blog post outperforms a sidebar that lives on every page.
  • Use the substituted text templates as starting points, not finished posts. The voice that works for your audience is yours. Personalize the copy and trim what doesn't fit.
  • Always keep the tracking link intact in any text you adapt. If you replace it with a regular URL, you won't get credit for the click.
  • Always keep the FTC disclosure at the bottom of text templates. We add it for you — please don't remove it. It protects you and us.
  • Prefer fewer, well-placed mentions over a flood. A clear, contextual recommendation in a piece your audience already trusts will outperform a banner blast every time.
  • Refresh your assets when you update a campaign. Re-download to pick up any wording or branding tweaks we've made since last time.
